Sowing
Your sowing orders should be placed by September to ensure seed and space availability.

Our stratification techniques have improved germination of species such as Abies amabalis and Chamaecyparis nootkatensis.

The Stock type you select should be dependant on your planting site. Smaller stock sizes should be used on sites that have fewer limiting factors. Larger sizes will generally handle more difficult conditions.

Harvesting
We carefully harvest and package your seedlings for either immediate shipping (hot lift) or cold storage.

For hot lifts, once your stock arrives on site we recommend you open up a few boxes and inspect it. If possible, try to keep only a few days supply of seedlings on hand and KEEP THE BOXES COOL. Don't forget that we are here to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thawing
Our cooler operates from November to May and is constantly monitored to ensure the health of your seedlings.

At ambient temperature, boxes of frozen seedlings can take up to 3 weeks to thaw. Keeping a good line of communication open with the nursery and your carrier will ensure that your order arrives healthy and ready to plant.

You can place your order by phone, fax, email or plantwizard.com. Please let us know when you place your order if you would like to use our delivery service. We can deliver up to 150 standard boxes in one shipment. For larger shipments, our staff will be happy to help coordinate with the carrier of your choice.
